Review: “Joyland,” by Stephen King.

More fun than a day at the county fair. A quick- read, murder mystery ghost story, I’m sure that King had a good old time spinning this one out in a couple of months. It brings everything that King always wants to deliver, but does it with brevity (not his strongest suit). I’m aware that longer books make more money for publishers, but this sharply etched little ghost/murder tale promised and paid off. Stephen, please just stick to what you do well. Longer doesn’t mean better, and in your case, not by a long shot.
